You know that we have had more than one Olentzero, always inspired by our desires and dreams, and, of course, not only children, but also adults, are essential for our steps to address those desires and dreams, without failing along the way.
Like many of you, I tell the Olentzero that Otegi has to be on the street since yesterday and that political prisoners have a dignified solution from today so that everyone will gradually go on the street, better today than tomorrow. As well as the demolition of all emergency legislation and the eradication of torture.
Olentzero, do we not need Basque citizenship, free from the many dependencies imposed on us by the factual powers of Spain and France, to govern ourselves better? For those who are being hit hardest by this crisis and, in general, to implement fairer policies for all, to reduce unemployment and to deepen well-being?
Do not forget to tread and exploit the people of Palestine, the Sahrawi people, the Tibetans, the Uighurs, the Chechens and the Kurds, and many other peoples, so that we can make Olentzero a planet of land as small as we can all live better in it.
I have already said before that I am presenting good intentions and dreams to the special Olentzero, to the Olentzero that we are, to the Olentzero that we all share, you, reader, and I, and in that sense, I also want to show you other more specific intentions; it is not those that concern me or my family, but those that affect us who form the Basque community.
I would be grateful if the people of Euskaldun, in general, would read little, but above all the people of Euskaldun who are reading little in Euskera, would be freed from the press in Spanish and come to read regularly the Basque press, increasingly to read Basque books, in times when the Basque Country was more forbidden than now – today almost banned and punished in large part –
The projects and dreams we need are Olentzero, which we can carry out with the spirit and strength that we all have within ourselves, to be recognized and supported. I do not know how it went last year, I wish you that what has come is better.
