Neutrino is a charged free subatomic particle whose mass is one billion times less than that of an electron. The Sun sends them restlessly in large numbers, they cross the Earth from one side to the other, including our bodies, and they're lost in space. The essay has focused on tracing the trail of neutrinos crossing the Earth, in particular, it has been calculated that the time that neutrinos need to travel the 730 kilometres separating the underground passage of the Swiss CERN from the Italian Grand Sasso is less than that required by photons.
There is a 60 nano-second difference between the times when neutrinos and photons have taken a long time to cover the mentioned distance.
