Nancy wake (1912-2011) worked as a spy for the British during World War II. Known as the “white mouse”, the name that Gestapo put on him, he initially served as the messenger of the French resistance and later joined the escape unit of Captain Ian Garrow. It helped hundreds of people flee the territories occupied by the Germans. And, therefore, she was the most laureed woman on the side of the allies.
Her life was endangered throughout the war; the Gestapo set a reward of five million pounds for her capture in 1943. Wake died on 11 August at the age of 98.
