Researchers from several French research centres have developed a foam that lasts several months, with maximum temperatures of 60º.
The foam consists of microglobes of fragile water membranes. Normally, the length of the membrane is usually very short; the researcher Jean Paul Douliez has explained that a surfactant molecule has been created to avoid it. Everything is based on a fatty acid extracted from castor oil. According to Douliez, a very small amount is sufficient for many foams to be preserved.
Apparently, a microtubular network is organized on the walls of the microglobes that provides the necessary solidity for the structure to be maintained. If the temperature is higher than 60º, the structure of the microtuts changes and the system loses that solidity.
Researchers have pointed out that the consistency of the foam obtained from a natural component is very good, which can be of vital importance for manufacturers, as we should not forget that the cleaning characteristics of the foam coincide with its duration.
Sometimes I don't know if it's too much. That we're eating a pipe, that we're talking about anything else, that we're bringing it up. We like to speak aloud, to leave almost no pause, to cover the voices, to throw a bigger one. Talk about each one of them, each one of them, what we... [+]
