Musical march for Navarra.
Interpreter: Music Chapel of the Cathedral of Pamplona.
I invite you for a musical tour of Navarra. I am certainly not the most suitable person to make this invitation. But the unexpected provided by the passersby of life makes us audacious. Good luck!
I went to Pamplona to writer Fermin Erbiti, and my first surprise was to meet the Chamber of Comptes of Navarra and to know the fate of Fermin's hand. As if this were not enough, I came home with this gift. Musical march for Navarra. This is how the CD is graceful. Played by the Music Chapel of the Cathedral of Pamplona. It brings together unique pieces of Navarra music. 21 songs from the 13th to the 20th century, with the defined plot.
Before I offer two strokes about the CD, I explain what the Chamber of Comptes of Navarra is: “It is the oldest Court of Auditors in the Spanish State. It was founded in 1365 by King Charles II of Navarre with the intention of resolving the serious economic situation of the Kingdom. In the 19th century the Kingdom of Navarra became a Spanish province. He lost the Chamber of Comptes, with several competences. A decree of 1836 ended the organization. The Chamber of Comptes remained closed for over 140 years. In 1980 the Parliament of Navarre decided to re-launch the institution.”
I said they're curious pieces. Of course it does. The first song bears the name of A in the morning telling the money. It's from Baraibar, 18th-century. Count and redeem the Chamber of Comptes: “Counting money in the morning,/ spending in the afternoon,/ playing good food,/ having coffee,/ drinking glasses,/ washing fine beverages:/ I do not deny that./ Now the lips are tired,/they are filled with beautiful sardines.” This is how the Chapel is sung, under the aegis of director Aurelio Sagaseta. The oldest song, Seigneurs, by King Tybalt I, is Sachiez, 1239 years old. The most recent are those of the twentieth century, by the composers Fernando Remacha, Pascual Aldabe and Emiliana Zubeldia.
The album is a reflection of the diversity of Navarra. 25th anniversary of the Chamber of Comptes. Five songs are in Basque, four in Latin, three in Spanish, one in French, the rest instrumental.
These are the words of my beloved of Baraibar: “Dear, don’t be frightened,/ we will be eager to live in the world:/ we will make a palate with sections or straw:/ also the balcony with grass,/ so, it has been commissioned in the morning / Pierres de Baiona”. The sound of the song -- the melody
-- is your thing, right?
