The ideology
Use the plural bar, everywhere, anytime and for everything. If one is going to be plural, everything has to decline in plural: language, culture, identity... This is what some of us who have ruled us for a long time – and those who govern us – are asking us to give them a Democratic card.
Of course, our rulers are talking about our own good needs when they forbid us the singular. Nice and democratic – nice democrat – they want us plural because they want us.
Even a four-year-old could easily understand that. But there is a small detail. For what was once said to happen to the doctors and priests, now happens to our rulers: that they do not obey the commandment of any one. If it is good for us to fit them into us, why is it not good for them to fit us into them with ease and comfort? Why should the symbol fit on the flag, but not the flag on the symbol? Why Naranjito and never Sagartxo? Why Flamenco and Not Dance?
