It is striking how the idea of eternity is being incorporated into our culture and society, around the physical, it seems that we do not want to recognize that birth, days and years, are one of our characteristics, that coincide with us. I say this because, in recent times, we are becoming more and more inclined to hide as much as usual, as if old age were a disease in itself. In one of the additional magazines that recently appeared in Sunday newspapers, the actress, beautiful and slender, Sofía Loren, appeared on her cover. Her appearance was more like that of a 40-year-old woman than that of a 76-year-old woman. I have my doubts about whether this is appropriate; about selling this image, about what it comes for. Look, we have to be clear that it’s not real – I have to tell my friends in the Light that we have to update my photo next door, the years don’t go by uselessly – because beauty transforms over the years, but it doesn’t disappear. Beauty will always be there, what we have to learn is to look, to find it, on the other side of the street.
