But let’s say yes, Twitter users waste more time than other Internet users. What we are going to propose here is that this does not lead to the failure of anything on the Internet, but to the opposite juxtaposition. The French sociologist Jean Baudrillard correctly explained in his essay The Consumer Society: all civilizations have always kept a quota of waste. Overspending, luxury, is an intrinsic feature of consumption-based capitalism. And time is perhaps one of the most precious assets of this social model: minutes cost money and being wasted is a luxury. Twitter, therefore, is a luxury product of the time in which we live. The greed that everyone wants to achieve. This ensures its success.

For a non-conformist coffee shop
