The SATURDAY demonstration suggested where the social majority of Basque society is: in favor of all human rights, civil and political rights and, in relation to this specific political moment, in the desire to promote a solid and irreversible peace process. That's the pulp, the most important thing. After the RD banned the demonstrations called by Sabin Intxaurraga and Iñaki Zarraoa along with other well-known citizens, what was to come was already announced.

But there are always nuances, such as the fact that the PNV was also present at the demonstration, bringing together the whole nationalist. On this occasion, there has also been a subsequent quarrel, among other reasons, because the leaders of the PNV and Aralar have denounced that the Union has taken the demonstration to its canal.

When these lines were written, the callers still had nothing to say, but in any case the accusations do not seem to distort the purpose and success of the demonstration. There may be various problems and realities behind such denunciations and an event, but when the right of demonstration of a very broad political sector is subject to an arbitrary decision of “now yes, now no”, the risk of such events increases. These powders of the much-vaunted dialogue, properly disseminated among political actors, would require problems that could be overcome with tenderness.
The most important Spanish newspapers highlighted bapo’s insult to President Montilla during the mass demonstration in Barcelona on July 10. It certainly happened, but that was not the message that the demonstration left for the future. The wind swept away these insults with tenderness, and it is the political assessment that has left this event looking forward: that on the road to sovereignty, Catalan society took another important step. Well, that's right.

The signatories of the Brussels Declaration once again speak clearly to ETA: to provide a unilateral, permanent and verifiable ceasefire. A firm response, probably to Madrid and the international, but also to ETA itself.

With so many experts in international conflicts, it is conceivable that they would also spread a more flexible message to the armed organization and that they would be working in the kitchen. It will be necessary to know relatively soon and otherwise there will not be a good sign as to the health of the process. Under the pressure of the Pact of Guernica and the Brussels Declaration, and the municipal and provincial elections in May, ETA cannot be prolonged too long without giving its assent to the demands. The Christmas limit is there.

On the 29th of September there was no general strike in the Basque Country, as there was when the Basque trade union majority organized their session. But with some exceptions, this time the impact of the call for strikes in Basque society has been less than then.

Many people would like the nationalist unions to join this type of strike, but the reality is that today the Basque trade union is not in a position to take such steps.

Faced with the same problems, both have shown extreme positions over the last long years. For the trade union majority, the CCOO and the UGT are in some way complicit in this situation. And for these, the ELA and LAB continue to be framed in the unionist model against the system.

At the moment it seems bad that positions are approaching, but if the situation continues to worsen, all forces will also be few to cope with the coming period of reduction. In companies they sometimes reach agreements. And, of course, I would not be illiterate with the movements that are taking place in the field of peace.
