The Israeli terrorist state is carrying out a brutal massacre in the Gaza Strip, where over the past eight months it has killed 37,000 Palestinians and wounded almost 84,000 people. But the Zionist offensive is not confined to the Gaza Strip: The attacks have also intensified in the West Bank lands, both military and settlers, many considered "civilian".

According to information from Al Jazeera media in mid-May, from 7 October until then more than 500 Palestinians were killed by Zionists in the West Bank, both in military operations and in settler attacks (at least 20 have been killed by "civilians"). Of these deaths, 124 were children.

This is three times as many of the Palestinians killed in the West Bank all year 2022, when they were 154, according to the United Nations. Before 7 October, 199 were the Palestinians who died in the West Bank during 2023.

They report that the Gaza massacre has been used in recent months as cover by Zionists to harden criminal attacks in the West Bank, including the use of helicopters and drones against Palestinians. Settler attacks have also intensified in the West Bank, which has moved to Palestinian villages and towns and have been attacked, in some places, by pulling them out of their homes. At least eighteen communities of Palestinian pastors have been expelled from their lands, according to the latest data.

Thousands of wounded, detained and displaced

In addition, according to data from 16 May, 4,950 Palestinians have been injured by Zionists since 7 October in the West Bank. In the same period of time, the persons detained by the military forces of the State of Israel were 8,088, most of them in administrative detention.

In addition, the Zionists have continued to expel the Palestinians from their lands and to bring down their properties in the West Bank. According to Al Jazeera, between 7 October and 16 May, almost 4,000 Palestinians were expelled from their homes, destroying 648 buildings or structures.

Steps to advance the occupation of land in Palestine

Within all this violence against the Palestinians, the Zionists are building more illegal settlements in the West Bank and are taking steps to occupy more Palestinian land. The genocidal State of Israel has taken steps to build settlements in prohibited areas since 2005, and the Zionist Government has designated 1,097 hectares of the West Bank as a State area, in order to facilitate further settlements.
