The sharp increase in electricity prices has created cash-flow problems for Goiener, a small energy retailer (detailed explanation is given in this interview). At the Special General Assembly last Tuesday, steps were taken to address the current economic situation. About half a hundred members took part in the assembly in person, while about 400 members did so electronically.
The following points were put to the vote in the Assembly, all of which were adopted:
- To authorise a further increase in Social Capital, mandatory for all consumer partners, for a maximum value of EUR 100. 359 members voted in favour and 28 against.
- To safeguard the possibility of issuing future invoices, using it as a tool to meet specific cash requirements. 371 members voted in favour and 14 against.
- Accession to the COOP57 and ACENEL associations. 368 voted in favour and 5 against.
In the letter to the partners, Goiener explained that "the unanimous adoption of the measures proposed in the assembly does not mean that they are implemented overnight. Depending on the situation, it will be decided what is established and under what conditions, taking into account at all times the situation of each partner and transmitting transparent information".
Goiener's partners, who were unable to participate in the assembly, can see this in the presentation video. It explains the specific issue and the clarifications given in the answers to the question.
