Gernika Lekue stands out for its stylistic diversity and for its effort to give an atmosphere of its own to each concert. This year’s is the sixth edition and although at first glance you do not see names as well known as in last year’s cartel, they have been able to prepare an attractive cocktail by mixing domestic and foreign musicians.

On Saturday, March 9, the festival will begin in Astra with the performance of the Parisian group Crew, which together with Kale Urdangak will give more prominence to the punk band from Euskal Herria.

The festival will go to another registration the following day: Maite Larburu, the singer who has so far been part of the Neighbor group, will present her solo project at Trinkete Antitxoko, a program that according to the organizers will be a “friendly concert.” On the same scene, on 15 March, the Trustedvers group will play and on 16 March, the dual offer: On the one hand, Joseba Irazoki and his friends, on the other.

On March 11 you will see the concert of Amorante. One of the main features of this solo project of Iban Urizar is experimentation and your proposal will find an exceptional context in Gernika: The concert will be in the bunker next to Astra.

Other quotes are the concert that American musician Mr. Sipp blues will offer on March 14 at the Iparragirre Rock Society or the one that will offer the following day, Day 15, Mississippi Queen & The Wet Dogs and The Soul Jacket. The first group is Bilbao, which moves between rock and soul, and the first work they published last year. The Galician band The Soul Jacket has a slightly longer ride, debuted in 2011 and since then they have not changed their jacket: it is made of soul, but also blues, R&B and rock and roll.

On the same Friday the Lizeo Theatre will host the sophistication of the Catalan soloist Núria Graham and on the 16th day the jazz and flamenco show of the hand of the Trio group, Antonio Licia.

In a programme full of artists, we cannot fail to mention what the organizers of Lekue de Gernika have prepared in Iparragirre by 16 March: You will be able to hear the hard rock of the French band Datcha Mandala and collect the electric shocks of the Spanish group DoubleCapa.
