Desokupa is a company linked to the extreme right that is dedicated to the “eviction of illegally occupied homes”. The Abadiño Youth Assembly denounced violent action within the limits of the law, following the eviction of 18 April in Abadiño.
The president of the company, Daniel Esteve, recently announced that they will also intervene in Bilbao, and several popular movements and neighbours in the area have called for the anti-fascist alert. A self-defence guide has been published to deal with the company Desokupa: What do I do if the servants come home with the intention of bringing you and your friends out? Recommendations have been included in the following seven points:
1. Prevention. Dialogue with neighbors and friends and create affinity groups to think about how to take care of oneself.
2nd Do not open: You don't open the door or any synthesis. It is a private company that does not have legal documentation to enter the homes.
3. Don't talk to them in any way. They're scammers. They will try to cast doubt on you. Remember that everything you say will be used against you.
4. If you have to talk to them, you just have to say: "You can't get in, I've called the police, my lawyer is on the way, you can't get in," he added. If you launch, you repeat over and over again, but don't talk to them.
5.Grabatu Ask friends and neighbors to record from the outside. Let's be clear on recordings that don't have permission to enter the house.
6. Open it. Use all the tools at your fingertips to let the acquaintances and friends know what is happening and approach it. You're not alone.
7. Call me. Call the Police, who note that they are using violence to expel the aggressors without any legal order. Let the Ertzaintza and the Municipal Police be present, as Security Advisor Erkoreka says, to ensure that "the Basque Police do not cooperate with the Nazis".
