Workers say that in nursing homes many users have died with symptoms of COVID-19, but without evidence they do not count as victims. The Spanish Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, has stated that rapid tests and CRP have begun in hospitals and nursing homes, although he has not specified how many will be and if the results are positive, patients have been isolated.
The minister added that two million rapid tests have been sent to the autonomous communities and that it is the responsibility of the autonomous governments to separate them. However, on the afternoon of 14 April it will meet with the regional governments to improve collaboration and communication, as it has pointed out that the epidemic has passed through the top and is in the phase of detecting mild cases.
This has also happened in Euskal Herria: more than one agent and one individual have denounced that the Provincial Council of Bizkaia is not providing data on the number of people killed or infected in the homes of elderly people of the country.
Teleberri has just said that Gipuzkoa and Álava did, but the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, @Bizkaia, did not update the data of the people who died in the nursing homes of Bizkaia. How do you understand this in the midst of a #COVID19 pandemic? pic.twitter.com/uaJZmwHQk3
