Wikipedia Need and project to release AA from incorrect content (but not from all AA)
- WikiProject starts the AI Cleanup project on Wikipedia: "The cleaning up of Artificial Intelligence," to put it in some way. Voluntary Wikilaris has for the time being started in English, French and German in this initiative created to detect and, in case of error, remove materials produced by artificial intelligence.
Wikilaris has detected artificial intelligence articles since 2022. The project page lists some examples that can be highlighted below:
- Rezaabad Description of the Iranian people Someone seemed short of what was being presented, and they lengthened the article to ask AI for a text: the system discovered somewhere the green, fertile and rich nature of the field, where the village is on a dry mountain.
- There are those who have created completely false articles, perhaps a hoax or the desire to deceive: Article of the fictitious fortress of Antwerlihisar Ottoman.
- The article of Leninist historiography is more twisted: the subject is a serious issue that can be addressed, but the content is totally invented. Worse still: Wikipedia asks publishers to give references and, in this case, an article that came with some bibliographical references (e.g., The Revolutions of 1989, J. L. This is a Black), but in this case they are false books and references invented by artificial intelligence.
The project does not intend to ban AI in its use, but rather NN-A texts that yield true results and with references. In fact, some elements of arphistic intelligence (in the creation of images, if the results are free) are used in Wikipedia, and in Wikipedia in Euskera: see series of images created to illustrate different aspects of Basque mythology and tales, and their examples of use in articles such as Basajaun and Kixmi.
We do not suspect that there has been a contaminant use of AA on Wikipedia in Euskera. However, there is evidence that a bad and uncorrected machine translation is used. A template alerts about such pages, for example on the BBC, and it is also true that there are many pages to be corrected.
