It is the fourth and last time that the Belgian courts have defended Josep Valtónyc. On previous occasions, the courts of First Instance, Appeal and Cassation rejected the three crimes that Spain accuses it of for its musical letters: threats, exaltation of terrorism and offensives against the Spanish Crown. Now the Ghent Court of Appeal has studied the letters of rap singer in Belgium, according to the country’s penal code, and has ruled that no. The Spanish Public Prosecutor’s Office had a day to file the appeal, and it has not.
“We have won”
The lawyers of Gonzalo Boye and Simon Bekaert Valtóny express their joy at the triumph. Boy remembers that on several occasions the Belgian courts have given them reason, “enough is enough, right?” Lawyers have explained that now the rap singer is free to move around Europe, “except to go to Spain, accept for once the states and make démarches.”
“I’ve never felt alone”
He arrived in Belgium in 2018, fleeing from Valtonyc prison, at the age of 24 and at the age of 18 by written musical letters. The singer himself made statements after knowing the final victory, very excited. A review of the four long years he has remained in exile and stresses that “never” has felt “alone” throughout this time. Thank you to all those who have stood by you. He says that he has done “everything I have been able to” for freedom of expression and has claimed that “it is time to fight.”
In the lower body, its manifestations can be seen:
