Bake Bidea starts a "more offensive" dynamic with the new year
- Convinced that no significant progress has been made over the past year on the situation of Basque prisoners and refugees, Bake Bidea will change the current dynamic for a more “offensive and determined” one. The new phase will begin with the demonstration that will take place on 8 January in Baiona (Lapurdi).
Within a year, Bake Bidea announced that “no significant step has been taken towards a comprehensive settlement of the case of Basque prisoners and exiles,” he announced that in the first half of 2022 he will launch a “more offensive and determined” dynamic. This new phase will start on 8 January, we have little time! Unai, Jon and Jakes with the mobilization that will take place in Baiona under the motto "with us".
Before that meeting, the citizens have also been invited to meet in Parliament. In fact, to focus on the construction of the new phase announced, a meeting on Capitality has been convened on 4 December. The meeting, which will be held in La Perle Hall, will last from 09:00 to 12:30 in the morning.
On the occasion of 24 November, the anniversary of the conditional release of former Basque prisoner Xistor Haranburu, Bake Bidea has chosen that date to announce the option of changing the dynamic. They explained that on 19 September 2020 a stage was started with the lifting of the wall in the subprefecture of Baiona, but soon after the granting of Xistor conditional release by the Paris Call Court led them to suspend the planned disobedient action. “Insisting that we were waiting for a way out of the issue of the Basque prisoners and for Jakes to come a gesture for the freedom of Esnal and Ion Parot.”
However, Bake Bidea considers that no significant step has been taken in this period of one year since: “We must conclude the unwillingness to resolve the cases of Basque prisoners, especially Jon Parot and Jakes Esnal, as well as Unai Parot, imprisoned in the Spanish State.” They have therefore opted for a more offensive phase.
