Several parties in Euskal Herria, Galicia and Catalan countries have called this Friday, 8 October, a major blackout to denounce the "fraud" that exists after the increase of electricity. The conveners are the political forces that signed the declaration of Llotja De Mar two years ago: EH Bildu, ERC, Junts X Cat, PDeCat, Crida Nacional, CUP, BNG, Demòcrates, Esquerra Valenciana and MÉS per Mallorca.
They have explained that this is an initiative against the blackmail of the oligopoly of electricity and have denounced that the PSOE and pp have deregulated, privatized and brought the sector to the present situation. Faced with the constant rise in electricity in the Spanish State in recent months, they have called on the citizens to express their indignation, turning off the lights and "making noise".
They pointed out that these large companies, in addition to "stealing" consumers, "expolise" the territories that generate electricity and "severely damage" the environment and society, which is also due to the lack of sovereignty: "The fact that our peoples have no energy sovereignty makes us very expensive to the Galicians, to the Catalans and to the Basques. It is time that, in the construction of our nations, we continue to move towards energy sovereignty, so that we have our own systems that break with the established oligopoly," they explain.
They have invited trade unions and social partners to join this initiative and to participate in the blackout.

Topatu eta topa! Tipi-tapa, elkarrekin ekin eta, bidea, eginean egin aurrera. Mahaiak, aulkiak, koadernoak eta boligrafoak, platerak, konfidentziak, tragoak eta ahotsak, eskuak, ideiak eta barreak, borrokarako besarkada gozoak. Txistulariak bileran, erraldoiak lasterka eta... [+]

The society in which we live is absolutely based on subordination. Over the centuries, our lives have been shaped according to it, and little by little the power of decision, freedom and sovereignty have been reduced. Sometimes they've taken us away with force, sometimes we've... [+]
In Basque public schools, teachers play a fundamental role in the management of diversity. They have had to reinvent their way of doing their work in recent years. Public schools seem to me to be laboratories to explore what it is to be a person in a more complex world. Teachers... [+]
Relations between the Basques and Castilla and the present Spain have not been tender. The conquest of the Basque territories that began in 1200 from Vitoria has left us over the centuries many bloody episodes. Thousands of people killed in the conquest of Navarre and in the... [+]

We all come together without the future.”
