The Euskal Herrian Euskaraz Association (EHE) will hold the Euskaltzale Independi Meetings this weekend in Villabona-Amasa. The organization notes that in these two days it will focus on the Basque: “We will look at the construction of the Republic of the Basque Country and on that road we will try to contribute.” EHE has presented the full programme involving relevant personalities from the Basque world. There will be round tables, conferences, political events, demonstrations, sports shows and concerts, among others. On 4 October the online registration questionnaire for the meetings will be closed.
The opening of the meetings will take place on 7 October at 10:00 in the morning. A round table will be held with five rapporteurs: Amets Aranguren, Amets Arzallus, Eneko Bidegain, Estitxu Garai and Lorea Agirre. Ekhiñe Atorrasagasti will be responsible for the presentations.
On Saturday afternoon there will be six workshops related to the present day, divided into two shifts. The first will be from 16:00 to 17:15 and the other from 17:30 to 18:45. Among other topics, we will discuss the transmission of culture in education and the activity of Apantallamiento en Euskera. Guests include Iratxe Retolaza, member of Euskaltzaindia, and Saioa Iraola, member of Bilgune Feminist.
