In fact, I do not expect anything from the right-wing who remind, exalt and demand Elcano and other imperialists such as Elcano in the name of economic or tourist interests. They don't care to kill thousands of people, rape women, drive homosexual seamen out of the sea and commit terrible crimes around the world. But I am angry with those on the left that on 12 October we did not celebrate genodizios, who claim the resistance of the peoples to Spanish imperialism and who are then able to praise Elkano and justify its massacres and violations.
Today, on behalf of all the peoples who were trampled on by the Spanish imperialists and all the women who were raped, it is a day of meeting the demands that have been made today by Askapena and Bilgune Feminist and, therefore, of reflecting on what we are doing with genocides such as Elkano. Because in Getaria, in Gipuzkoa and in the Basque Country in general, in the name of economic interests, we are devouring the political discourse and lies of imperialism. Spain and the Basque right do not surprise me, but the meekness we are showing from the left and from nationalism around the storm that comes to us to extol Elkano and its environment is serious. We have become accomplices and silent companions of genocide.
By the way, they weren't the first to turn the world around the seas.
But that's another issue.
