Thus, Ibarrola and Toquero presented a joint candidacy to lead the UPN, avoiding competition or internal cracks. Ibarrola will be vice-president, so Toquero will be a candidate for vice-president.

This agreement, on the other hand, has explained the secrets between the members of the party. The joint candidature meant that the vote was not taken at the congress, and that the one who opposed that candidature could not show it. On the contrary, the Directorate makes an amendment, which, although a single application, is put to the vote so that whoever is against can appear. UPN lost quite a few members as a result of the internal crisis created by the Sayas-Adanero pair, which will not result in further losses of members from joining the division. UPN just needed that.

In retrospect, UPN has sought the recovery of the highest office of the Palacio de Navarra: the creation of the Navarra Suma coalition or the support for the Labour Reform (Mr. Casero frustrated the move to the couple Sayas-Adanero, unfortunately it was). UPN has an important factor in its favour: it is still the party that gets the most votes. That is, it is protected by a solid social mass, but far from being a hegemonic part of the past. It is mainly opposed to two factors, firstly it has no capacity to reach agreements. Secondly, the remoteness of power entails political distress, and the large number of voters have opted for other parties such as the PP or the Vox.

Once the diagnosis is made, changes should occur. Sincerely, and for the party leaders to be Ibarrola and Toquero, no major changes are expected. Maybe the shapes get even worse. Slips in that direction. And they don't have the opportunity to stumble, to ask the members of Alavesa Unit.
