At a meeting with Lukashenko in eastern Russia, Vladimir Putin said that Ukraine is not complying with what was agreed following negotiations held a few weeks ago in Istanbul between Ukraine and Russia. That is why the Russian President said that negotiations with the Russian controllers are stagnating: "Ukraine has distanced itself from the Istanbul agreements."

In addition to the negotiation process, Putin has also spoken on many other issues. On the invasion, he said that they will not give up on their efforts until Donbass is released, and he added that the "special military operation" is in the way envisaged. On the other hand, it has stated that "the direct conflict with the neo-Nazis of Ukraine is inevitable".

On the sanctions imposed on Russia by the Western countries, Putin said that in many countries they can cause famine; in this regard, Lukashenko said: "In the context of today's world, no one can be crushed, even a country like minority Russia, totally self-sufficient." Putin added that Russia’s economy is more than stabilised in recent decades.
