The COVID-19 outbreak also revolutionized the world of Bertsolarism, so last year they had to halt both the Bertsolaris Championship in Bizkaia and the Xilaba. The Bertsolaris Championship in Navarre, for its part, should have started at the beginning of the year, but the initiative was postponed without setting a specific date. In view of the evolution of the state of health, the organizers have decided that the three championships will be held in autumn.
The Xilaba, interrupted last year in quarterfinals, will resume on 18 September and the final will be played on 13 November. The Bertsolaris Championship of Navarra will begin on 2 October with the final dispute on 27 November; the qualifying tests will be held in June. As for the Bertsolaris Championship in Bizkaia, it will start on 3 October and on 18 December it will be known who has been the winner of it.
Both the Bertsolaris Championship of Navarra and the Xilaba Championship will be held in eight sessions, and the Bertsolaris Championship of Bizkaia will consist of ten sessions. With so many short-term sessions, some will overlap, although the organizers have tried to combine the calendars as best as possible.
