The Mayor of Tudela denounces Ernai for a poster
- Ernaik de Tudela created an image of Hitler to denounce Alejandro Toquero's attitude towards the Basque country. The mayor accuses the youth organization of violating its honor.
Toquero denounces in the courts of Tudela. “Comparing a mayor of a democratic party in Tudela, who acts as an elected member of a democratic corporation, with a genocidal murderer like Hitler, is not freedom of expression, but rather the unjust interference in the right to honour, worthy of reproach,” the written complaint, as published by Noticias de Navarra.
Toquero says the cartel is an unacceptable personal attack on him: “I am not going to accept it, because among others I have a family, and an honor with which I stand before my citizens.” The mayor says that the authors of the poster are “cowards”. “They hide behind social networks, in actions against painting and civility throughout the city, without participating in the real life of Tudela’s society that he condemned.” Toquero has also positioned himself against those who clicked “like” by entering the cartel, including the political representative of the city council.
Against the Basque Country
Toquero has repeatedly shown attitudes against the Basque Country. For example, in 2019 changed the way of choosing who throws the sucking of the patron festivities, angry at the use of the Basque in the sucking of that year. Or in an interview given to El Mundo in 2021 he said that in Tudela the Basque “nobody” speaks. Ernai's sign changes his face to an image of Hitler to that of Toquerore, with the motto Euskara gurea, denona.
