His remarks coincide with the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House. It proposes to move the 1.8 million Palestinians on the list to Egypt and/or Jordan.
U.S. President Donald Trump has once again demonstrated his intention to expel Palestinians from Gaza from their homes. "1.7 to 1.8 million people would be relocated to a beautiful place, a place where they will have a beautiful life," Trump said Tuesday at the White House, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu next door.
"Why would they want to come back? The territory is shattered, it is hell," Trump said in response to a reporter's question about whether the Palestinians could return. Since taking office on January 20, Netanyahu is the first international leader to meet with the President of the United States, who has also agreed with Trump’s proposal: "I think it's something that can change the story. It’s worth going down that road.”
Among other things, the President of the United States has referred to Jordan and/or Egypt as two countries that would be willing to receive Palestinians expelled from Gaza. The Foreign Ministers of these two countries, however, on Monday, along with several other Arab countries, condemned Trump’s proposal through a letter.

The Palestinian Ambassador to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, has sharply criticized the President of the United States in a video posted on social media: “Our land is our land. Palestinians want to rebuild Gaza because they have schools, hospitals, infrastructure, they belong there and they love to live there."
