Two decisions or measures in particular:
We wrote that the future of TikTok was in jeopardy, and over the weekend, as expected, the Supreme Court ordered it to be closed if it did not pass from China to the United States. No sales occurred and Chinese company Bytedance closed access to 170 million U.S. users. But one of Donald Trump’s first orders has been a 75-day suspension or extension to enforce the TikTok shutdown order. Yesterday he said he expects someone to buy TikTok in those 75 days and added that he would like Musk to be the buyer. However, from China’s point of view, it’s the same as before: If Bytedance wants to sell it, it's not enough, because the Chinese government would have to accept it, and how that will go... Trump apparently wants to put an extra 10% cap on imports to China, which will not soften China to facilitate a sale to Trump and his techno-oligarchs friends.

The announcement was accompanied by Sam Altman of OpenAI (who have invented ChatGPT), Larry Ellison of Oracle, the company’s database giant, and Masayoshi Son (head of the Japanese multinational company Softbank, which is more than a techno product, owner and investor of several initiatives as an investment fund). Read the news (from the perspective of OpenAI, attention)
