A small fire took place this Monday at the Zubieta incinerator. Around 18:00 in the afternoon they discovered that smoke was being extracted from a waste accumulation. Prior to the formation of the flames, the water was leaving the incineration plant and the smoke from the waste was stopped.
Therefore, the safety systems of the incinerator facilities automatically started to pour water into the waste and, following the fire service to the incinerator, continued to do so. Prevent the fire from rising.
Not the first time
The Zubieta incinerator has already suffered accidents. The last occurred last July in the voluminous sink. They have previously had problems with both local processors and ammonia emissions. On July there were at least four fires in the incineration plant, and on Monday it was the fifth.
