They denounce the attitude of Adam, buyer of the occupied house in Senpe
- The buyer owns the well-known macaroni company Adam from San Juan de Luz. They have held a concentration in front of their shops, but they have caused the shops to be closed, the owners to have closed before the doors of the protest. Since Tuesday, they have been occupying the house of Senpere to denounce the speculative sale. It wants to buy for EUR 1.3 million a house in poor condition, a cultivated land of seven hectares, a lagoon of two hectares and a large forestry area.
On 27 June the occupation began the Lurzaindia foundation, the ELB union, the Ostia collective and a group of senperos with the objective of curbing the speculative sale of homes and farmland. In Senpere, EUR 1.3 million is sold one house in poor condition, seven hectares of farmland, a two-hectare lagoon and a large forestry area. Since then, there are people on the spot, they continue with the determination to be there until they reach a permanent agreement. "From the beginning, we gather peasants and not growers, it is interesting," explains Martín Lemaire, farmer of Lurzaindia. Every day they meet in assemblies to decide the sequence to follow in the struggle.
The buyer owns the prestigious company Adam Makarroi of San Juan de Luz. About forty people have concentrated this Thursday in the city to denounce their attitude and make the problem known. The protest was announced earlier and the owner closed the shops in order to avoid parity.
After learning about the sale they had in February, and after trying to curb speculation on the path of dialogue, they finally began the occupation to unblock the situation. The SAFER structure, in charge of the management of farmland, was prepared for its acquisition, but, as expected, it was forced by the owner to acquire the entire property. At this price it is not possible to buy SAFER.
Signed private record
They sign the private record between the parties and can sign the final sales document at any time. Thus, occupying protesters are considered "under pressure". "If they sign, they will have to drive us out, everyone knows that Adam drives the senperes, the neighbors of Ostia and the peasants," explains Martin Lemaire, a peasant of Lurzaindia.

At the moment they are unable to speak directly to the seller, they have the notary as a messenger in the center. According to Lemair, the town house of Senpere was also looking for a way out of the legal channels.
