The Ikasle Abertzaleak group has called for concentrations against the forthcoming selectivity tests, as reported in a press release. The student union has charged against the evaluations to access the university, denouncing the three main functions that it considers the tests have.
For Ikasle Abertzaleak, the selectivity would be a test to assess whether or not the type of students who want to create the educational system has been achieved: “The degree to which the students have internalized the teaching discipline imposed by the educational process. This is appreciated by selectivity based on the ability to memorize the content taught.” Secondly, selectivity would be the last step in the “social filter” function of education, using fundamentally the system of notes to be able to access different areas of learning. “Studies with a high social status for those students with more grades, with a better integrated learning discipline”. Finally, Ikasle Abertzaleak denounced the ideological homogenization through the contents: “Millions of students will know precisely, among other things, the historical, philosophical and economic perspective that suits [the bourgeoisie of the Spanish State].”
For all these reasons, 'Selectivity ez ez!' Under the motto Ikasle Abertzaleak has called for concentrations. On 4 June in the UPNA of Pamplona and 5 in the campuses of Ibaeta, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Leioa and Sarriko.
