Two of the detainees on the days of the G7 summit were brought to justice on Monday afternoon. The trial was held in Dax's court and although they were initially charged with seven offences, the judge has admitted three of them: the one painted on two radar controls and the one on A.C.A.B. (Summary of the phrase All Cops Ar Bastards, which in Basque comes to say “every policeman is a bastard”).
The judge has had no evidence to admit the remaining four offences, so he has sentenced him to six months in prison with reversal and to six months in prison. Thus, in principle they will not have to serve in prison if within two years they have no other cause. They must also take a “citizenship” course and pay a fine of EUR 894.
The infringements judged occurred in mid-August, just before the peak of the G7 was reached. The Prosecutor’s Office, for its part, accuses them of wanting to participate in the anti-G7 protests that are taking place in Catalonia.
They will also be tried on Wednesday and Friday. Also eleven members of the movement. The movement has announced that they could be sentenced to five years in prison and EUR 75,000 fine for the withdrawal of the portrait of French President Emmanuel Macron from their homes. The trials will be held in Paris and in the French village of Orleans.
