The soka-dantza San Juan will be offered in Eibar from the Coliseum Theatre to the network

The soka-dantza that usually dances on St. John's Day in Eibar will be held at the Coliseum and the City Hall of Eibar, through its channel, will reward the live performance at 20:30 hours on June 24. The City of Eibar will make 90 invitations available to citizens to see the work in the Colosseum and today you will be able to go to the Colosseum box office. 25 years later
The San Juan aurresku of this year presents a special situation and great changes, but it has had a journey plagued by ups and downs and cambios.El last year turned 25 years since the txistularis Usartza group and the dantza group Moa recovered the San Juan aurresku with the Eibar City Hall. On 24 June 1994, aurresku reappeared in San Juan, and it was precisely before he had slept about 25 more years.
Since 1994 the municipal plenary of Eibar participated in the soka-dantza for several years, but in 2005 the mayor did not participate, yes some of the councilors, and since 2006 the members of the municipal corporation have not participated in the event, and every year several associations and individuals from the town have been honoured in the aurresku of San Juan. In 2015 we started dancing soka-dantza without gender distinction, all the dancers participate in the first string and there are no different roles depending on the gender.
Tribute to health professionals
In the festivities of San Juan, the City has the habit of paying homage to the associations and individuals of the town and this year they will pay homage to the health workers who have protected us from covid-19 that has radically transformed our lives in these special San Juan. In the soka-dantza we will also offer the aurresku to the toilets and invite them to enter the symbolic rope of the people. We have invited two representatives of the health personnel to the soka-dantza: Ane Astigarraga, a nurse who serves COVID19 patients at Eibar Hospital and Iratxe Odriozola, Mendaro's emergency physician. Both are health professionals and dancers, the first in the dantzaris group Haritz in Elgoibar and the second in the Txindurrin group in Ermua, and currently mainly txistulari.
Tickets to see in the theater itself
About 90 people will be able to enter the Colosseum to witness the aurresku. The minimum seating distance set at 1.5 m is the public who can enter the Colosseum. Those interested in purchasing invitation tickets should contact the Coliseum Theatre box office at the following calendar time:
