Contrary to the emergency measures and in favour of the application of the ordinary law, Sare will make demonstrations at the festivities of San Sebastian and Bilbao. “We still have to call these mobilizations because there is still something to do to normalize the situation of Basque prisoners, refugees and deportees,” he explained.
According to the organizer, overcoming the policy of withdrawal of 34 years has not meant an end to the violations of the rights of Basque prisoners. “With the help of the National Hearing, they continue to hinder the implementation of ordinary legislation and the repatriation process, stagnating coexistence,” he said through a press conference.
Thus, he explains that it is time to “undermine” the policy of exception and apply ordinary law, and that all Basque prisoners become “on their way”. He therefore calls for participation in the demonstrations to be held on 19 August at 12:30 from Boulevard Donostiarra and on 25 August at 13:00 from Plaza Elíptica in Bilbao.
Also in the festivities of Vitoria
Also during the festivities of Vitoria-Gasteiz it manifested from the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca. They also denounced the emergency measures applied to Basque prisoners and demanded the application of ordinary law.
