The basic premise underlying the main thesis of this campaign of denunciation is that the state of political emergency is hidden behind the state of alarm. In exceptional situations, the legal system is suspended and rules that are not legally in force in exceptional situations are laid down. The question that cannot be avoided is: Quis iudicabit? I mean, who makes the decisions in these situations? This question brings us directly to the essence of the subject, if there is still one. Are the criteria of health experts of human interest governing the state of alarm? The response of the Socialist Youth Coordinator, like many others, is clear and straightforward: the big banks and entrepreneurs are the ones making the decisions in the current situation. That is why we talk about “the political offensive of the bourgeoisie”, calling things by their name, launching a campaign of denunciation that claims health, truth, political freedoms and the workers’ organization, and inviting the other groups and organizations to join it.

Health, because above the economic interests of the bourgeoisie, medical criteria and health experts must be imposed. What is the point of confinement if millions of workers have to share spaces in their day-to-day work and on their way to the job? What is the communist tendency of this government going to be, when the workers have left helpless in the face of the serious risk of contamination of the virus, when the lives of pensioners who have devoted most of their lives to work for others and who have paid the debts of the state and private entities, when they have not been able to guarantee the minimum protection and security measures for health workers and when the representatives of the judicial authorities, legislators and others have not been able to put at risk

The truth, because it is an ethical and revolutionary principle. Let them explain to us what the real origin and size of this situation is, and let them also explain to us the plans for the future being carried out by the major economic and political players. In short, who is going to be responsible for paying an abusive public and private debt? In other words, what model of life of misery is going to be applied to the staff in the coming years?

Political freedoms, because we will be unable to defend the groups and/or sectors most affected in this situation of emergency and to cope with the barbarities that are taking place. What the Constitution prohibits has happened: in the state of alarm, the fundamental rights of the people cannot be suppressed; the contract, appealing to the primacy of possible health criteria, has suddenly eliminated the basic civil and political rights of the people, except those of the high bourgeoisie. Does anyone believe that the bourgeois state is the guarantor of the rights of the working class? From a militant point of view, the issue of political freedoms will be particularly important, not least because there is much at stake around rights of demonstration and assembly.

The workers' organization, because reality has once again shown us that the entire working class has to organize its own power to deal with these kinds of situations. On the one hand, it is the only guarantee to respond to health emergencies from a point of view of universal interest, capable of mobilizing all the resources and capacities of society to meet health needs. On the other hand, because the bourgeois power that bears a corrupt principle, dismissal, hunger, death, helplessness, poverty, humiliation, lies, the prohibition of rights and freedoms and many other manifestations of domination condemn us. Faced with this, a working organization is needed; in this case, at least, as a guarantee for the organization of health, truth and political freedoms.
