These are the "ten milestones" awarded in chronological order and the arguments put forward by the jury:
Fraternity: Anaitasuna magazine came to light in 1953. The jury has awarded him the prize for two reasons. On the one hand, to bring the newsmagazine model to the press in Euskera (modern format, modern content, modern journalism), to take it out of ecclesiastical tutelage and to awaken political debate and to promote street journalism in the 1970s and 1980s. And on the other hand, by the contribution to the Basque Country batua. "Among the passionate debates, he proposed the determination of the Basque Country batua in three steps: one, as a starting point, to create and promote the Bizkaino batua; two, to introduce the unified Basque model in its pages gradually; and three, to use the unified Basque in its production entirely".
Light Celeste and LIGHT: “For under the shadow of Rikardo Arrangi, they have brought revolution and modernity; because the idea has been laboratory; because it has been a quarry for other media. In short, because it perfectly reflects the DNA of Basque journalism, this milestone is Zeruko Argia/k ARGIA”.
Tttipi-Ttapa: Among the many reasons cited by the Tribunal are the following: "Somewhere, communication in Basque has developed in the local media, until 1969. This reality that seems already consolidated had its precursor: Ttipi-Ttapa Journal. Born in Bera in 1982. During all these years he has been an exhibitor of other journals that have emerged in different parts of the Basque Country".
Faculty of Social and Communication Sciences of the UPV/EHU: Among the many reasons cited by the Tribunal are the following: “Without a Basque professional journalist there was no journalism in modern Basque. He introduced journalism in Basque at the university and has continued to train professionals capable of responding to the challenges of globalization and the communication needs of Basque society”.
EITB Among the many reasons cited by the Tribunal are the following: “Pioneers of journalism in Euskera, the first full and complete harvest we began collecting in 1982. EiTB journalists have completed year after year a comprehensive journalism language in sports, poly/kan and many other fields. As far as language is concerned, journalists in this field have been the driving force when it comes to informing and entertaining citizens in Euskera. Language and society have been enriched by this milestone.”
Elhuyar: Among the many reasons cited by the Tribunal are the following: "It is a medium that has allowed Euskera to look at science and to make science known in Euskera. The comet Halley, the issues of health and medicine, mechanical and digital technology, biology, has addressed and spread them in Euskera."
Euskaldunon Egunkaria / BERRIA: Among the many reasons cited by the Tribunal are the following: "The contribution of this media to the revitalization of Euskera and the right to receive information in Euskera is fundamental. And decisive is also the presence of the Basque Country in the written press and on the Internet. Although in 2003 it was unjustly closed, Euskaldunon Egunkaria is a landmark that is still alive today in Berria."
Euskal Irratiak Network. Among the many reasons cited by the Tribunal are the following: "In recent decades we have witnessed the creation of the Basque radios in Iparralde: Radio Xiberoko Botza, Irulegi Irratia, Antxeta Irratia. Subsequently, the Euskal Irratiak group was formed. They have strengthened the project of those pioneers of the 1980s and have formed a strong team capable of addressing new challenges."
Eibar.org: Among the many reasons cited by the Tribunal are the following: “In 1998 they created the mailing list ‘Eibartarrak’ and, aware that content was needed on the Internet in Euskera, they were able to put in place technologies and cutting-edge advances in the service of the Basque Country. Communication in Basque is a digital platform to which we must adapt to the virtual age and open new paths".
Maximum: Among the many reasons cited by the Tribunal are the following: “The local media plays a fundamental role in the advancement of journalism and communication in Basque. A few years ago, all the Basque journals of Debagoiena joined the Goienkaria communication initiative. Subsequently, they have created the whole multimedia project, making it a leading model of communication in Basque".
