The demonstration will take place on Friday, 23 November, in the Plaza de la Constitución. The march will start at 21:00 hours from the Circular Plaza of Bilbao. The current economic situation "is not a crisis, it is a scam", said the assembly, which called for the fight against this "barbarism".
Since the beginning of the "crisis", young people have suffered from "permanent shame" on the part of employers and labour policies. As an example, they pointed out that in ten years young people’s salaries have been reduced by 20.5%, “while the administration gives money to employers on the pretext of ‘promoting employment’.”
They have explained that “fraud” has affected workers, especially young people, migrants and women, and have stressed that “the gender gap has increased by €1,000 in recent years, according to data from the Basque Government”. Added to this is the housing bubble that is taking place, denouncing that the average rent is higher than the average wage of young people.
“This is not what is there, nor what has to happen to us. And if we don’t fight, it will come to stay,” they said.
