A total of 32 protesters were injured at the demonstration in Bordeaux Jaka Hori on Saturday. One of the wounded is a 26-year-old neighbor of Baiona, who has lost his hand after the explosion of a police grenade.
The situation of Antonio has been made known by the French broadcaster France Inter, through a report written by Thibault Lefèvre and Valeria Emanuel. There, Antoine explains what happened: during the demonstration he realized that he had something between his legs and took it in his hands without knowing what it was, with the intention of returning it to the police. But Granada exploded him. After being admitted to the hospital, his hand has been amputated and he has been seized of a wound.
Antoine, along with six others injured by grenades in the mobilisation, has shown its intention to denounce the situation of the victims. “I’m going to denounce because in order to move on, I have to know what a minimum of justice is and what weapon the wound has caused me, and what they’re going to do to prevent the same thing from happening,” he told France Inter.
In Baiona, a rally was called for on Wednesday, 12, at 20:00 "in solidarity with the wounded and against repression".
