Five women involved with the infiltrated police file a criminal complaint
- An infiltrated Spanish police sought affective sex with several women to facilitate, among other things, access to militant environments in Catalonia, as announced by the Direct Communication Media. Five of them report sexual abuse, crimes against moral integrity, civil rights violations and secret disclosure to the court, among others.
On Monday, Directo de Cataluña published the case of the Spanish police infiltrate Daniel Hernández Pons, who for three years exercised a topo in the social movements of Catalonia. It is announced on Tuesday that five women have imposed a criminal complaint at the Barcelona Guard Court. They have denounced the violation of their fundamental rights and brought the complaint through the Irídia Human Rights Defence Association and the CGT trade union. They accuse the infiltrated police, their superior and the Ministry of the Interior of many crimes.
Sexual abuse, against moral integrity, violations of civil rights and the revelation of their secrets and identities are some of the reasons why they have lodged the complaint with the court. The complaint clearly states: “It goes beyond ethical limits and attacks its basic core and sexual autonomy.”
Laia Serra, a lawyer for a female whistleblower, warned that the Spanish state has used “sexualized institutional violence” and lawyer Mireia Salazar added that women have been “instrumentalized” by using their bodies and sexual relations to obtain information in political spaces.
They call for judicial measures and demand that, in addition to the infiltrated police, their head and the head of the Spanish National Police be questioned. In addition, they have determined in the complaint that they want to know what court authorized the police to create the secret identity of this agent, with what objectives, in what context of the investigation and for how long he accepted the infiltration.
