An attack on freedom of expression. This is to act against the banners placed to denounce the police repression in the Sanfermines of 1978 and to accuse them of "slandering the state". On July 13, the members of the platform Sanfermines Remembrance of 78 received the warning, calling to declare the citizens who offered their home to put the banners on the balconies. The slogans stopped state crime and/or impunity.
Presen Zubillaga, on behalf of the Sanfermines Memoria platform of 78, says that the association "100%" assumes responsibility for the banners: "Design, creation, placement... That is why it makes no sense to want to give any responsibility to anyone else for putting them on balconies and in homes." He explains that all the banners have the symbol and the signature of the agent.
40 years denouncing impunity
He also recalls that the Stop Impunity campaign has been running throughout the year, on the 40th anniversary of the death of Germán Rodríguez. The aim of this event was to expose what happened in 1978: eleven were injured, two were killed (one in San Sebastian) and the city was completely persecuted.
Sabino Cuadra has also served as spokesperson for the Sanfermines de 78 Memoria group and has denounced the support received by the anti-banners maneuver from the representative of the Government of Spain in Navarre, José Luis Arasti.
