Aimar Olaizola to end her career as a pelotari
- Pelotari Olaizola II has announced that he will withdraw from the Manomanist after the last match of the liguilla. The final match of the semi-finals match will be held on 13 November in Goizueta.
Pelotari Aimoar Olaizola offered a press conference on Wednesday with the Director General of the Baiko Ball Company, José Ramón Garai, on the Bizkaia fronton in Bilbao. It has announced that it will be withdrawn there. Olaizola II.ak will play her last game on November 13, the same day she turns 42, in her native town of Goizueta (Bizkaia). With this match, an intense pelotaris race of more than 23 years is put to an end.
Olaizola debuted as a professional on 12 April 1998, at the fronton Jaian Jai in Lekunberri, with a total of 35,000 euros. Iñigo Alberdi was her partner and faced Soroa III-Hirigoien. They lost 22-15. A year later he won his first txapela, in the Second Division Manomanist, in the Astelena pediment of Eibar. Behind this txapela there would be another fourteen First Division Txapelas: he has been a manomanist champion in four, seven times in four and a half, and three times in two. In addition to winning fourteen First Division Txapelas, he has been runner-up on twelve occasions.

Olaizola II is one of the seven pelotaris that together with Retegi II, Fernando Arretxe, Abel Barriola, Juan Martínez de Irujo, Oinatz Bengoetxea and Mikel Urrutikoetxea have won the three Euskal Herria championships.
