52.86% of respondents voted officially in the last elections to the Basque Parliament. If Basque citizens of Spanish nationality and therefore without the right to vote – 166,695 people in 2019 – are added to the electoral roll, the turnout would be 48.09%. It is possible to add migrants who, being a national, do not have the right to vote, thousands of Basques without papers, inhabitants of Treviño and Villaverde Turtzioz, who have been left without the right to be in quarantine (!!? ), no votes ...
Quality should concern us as much as quantity. And I'm not talking about who you vote for, but where. How many of the voters voted in favour rather than against something? How many of you know the programme you have voted on? How many have they done for the desperate spirit, for the routine, for the mere loyalty to the political family of those who complete a bureaucratic procedure? To make the count faster: How many of you have done with enthusiasm, passion, in the idea that you decide something important that is good for the entire electoral community?
If politics is public (polis) and if it is personal it is political, everything is political. We live in very complicated times and they come even more complicated. At a time when politics is more necessary than ever, depoliticisation continues to gain ground among the citizens and is becoming more and more rapid in anti-political institutions. The latest election campaign and its results are both a consequence and a cause of it.
In the face of the Penko collective, constructive proposals are needed. Or, just as the depleted land is set on fire so that it can bear new fruit, we burn parliament – it is a joke, Mr Police Judge. Or we fill the procedure with strength and repeat the elections with 5 (50%) until we pass the test – even more, fellow citizens suffer –. Or we create more interesting attitudes, spaces, ways and means to make politics, if you will, in the first place in living with the elderly – it is no joke, even at this moment it seems. Otherwise, our anti-politics, which we call politics, will continue to be the day of the Marmota and, as the saying goes, in the Marmota kingdom, Urkullu Marmota is king.

Iñigo Urkullu jarduneko lehendakariak eta bere alderdiak hauteskunde kanpainan esan dutenez, “ezkerrekoak eta eskuinekoak jada ez dira existitzen”. Gaur egun EAEn nagusi den politikaren alternatibarik existituko ez balitz bezala, hau da, ez balego bezala... [+]

On this occasion there have been elections in this western part of Euskal Herria, and as often happens, the PNV, very accustomed to winning, has launched itself to proclaim a glorious (self-)absolute triumph.
Today we can ask the PNV the question in the classical phrase: Where... [+]
