The Spanish Ministry of Health moves to the first phase to expedite the confinement in Hego Euskal Herria
- The Government of Spain has begun this Friday afternoon to make known which territory has moved to the first phase of decontainment. Navarre has authorised the move to the first phase, as it has advanced eldiario.es. The Spanish Ministry of Health has informed the Government of Navarre of its authorization to move to the first phase of decontainment. It has made known the territories of the State that have been advanced and those that have not. The four provinces of Hego Euskal Herria will go through the first phase of de-escalation this Monday.
On 28 April the Spanish Government announced the changes that would take place in the first phase: concentrations of up to ten people will be approved inside and outside the house. Terraces of bars and restaurants will be opened, with limited places. Libraries and museums will also be opened. Fairs and shops of up to 400 square metres will be allowed to be opened. Commercial centres cannot be opened. In terraces or hotels, the opening of hotels or tourist accommodation shall be authorised, except in common spaces. The opening of the premises shall be subject to time limitations. Prayer spaces may be opened with aphors. In public transport, the mask will be "especially recommended", as explained by the organization. Municipalities may authorise the opening of fairs, provided that they occupy a quarter of their seats. However, the Official State Gazette will publish the details of the meeting with the European Commission on Saturday.
Illa has indicated that these measures will be assessed next week and that it will be assessed by what measures to take forward. Each phase will last for at least two weeks.
Iñigo Urkullu had already asked the Government of Spain to guarantee the possibility of travelling between territories.
