Orona Fundazioa’s event room was filled with representatives of companies and institutions on Thursday morning, as the Beterri Saretuz initiative has organised an extraordinary day. Several companies, including ARGIA, have explained through their experience how they have entrenched the participation of workers and partners in internal structures, using in many cases key transformative ones.
The event was attended by representatives of the City Hall of Hernani, the municipal institutions of the region and the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, as well as members of other companies and entrepreneurs.
Employee participation in companies is being promoted from different areas and partnerships, but how? The head of the Deputy's business promotion service, Joseba Amondarain, explained that "people based companies are needed".
On the contrary, one of the conclusions of the day was that the company owns the company, as the current law outweighs verticality, according to Aitor Bengoetxea of the GEZKI Institute of the UPV/EHU. In this sense, the assistants analyzed, among other aspects, the processes of cooperativization and the way of worker participation in decisions and results.
The promoters of the initiative, Beterri Saretuz, have explained that they will continue to work with the contributions collected during the day and that by next year there will be more sessions to advance towards an ecosystem or business node transformative and participative in the region.
