The United Kingdom destroys war material at a factory in the main Israeli armer
- The Palestine Action group says its activists have "invaded" Elbit's factory in Bristol on Monday morning (August 6). The research and manufacturing centre is under great surveillance, and a prison van has been used to reduce the outside perimeter.
The installation of Bristol is a research, development and manufacturing space for electronic war, land vehicles, simulation and visual technologies. Palestine Action considers it essential for the Israeli arms company’s business in the United Kingdom.
Entrepreneurs can access the factory with a jail van. This factory was opened in July 2023, with the presence of Israeli ambassador Tzipi Hotevely. The products seen inside the factory are the same as those used in the Gaza genocide, including Elbit's Torch-X command and control systems, Thor drones and nv33 Night Vision technology.
After entering the factory, activists have tried to destroy the material they have found in the area. The six activists have subsequently been arrested in the Segi anti-terrorist operation. The police have reported that two officers were assaulted with a hammer and carrying axes, whips and other weapons were also on the spot.
The Elbit company supplies 85% of Israeli military drones and equipment, while UK exports to Israel are components of drones and aircraft, military electronics.
