Muralists pay a dark tribute to Pablo Hasel in Barcelona
- The city muralists met on February 7 at the Tres Xemeneies Park in Barcelona to fill several walls in solidarity with Pablo Haséleki. The rapper has been sentenced to two years and nine months in prison for the uprising of terrorism, and for injuries to the security forces and the crown. One of the most striking works has been the image of King Juan Carlos made by the Roc Black Block, which hours later has been erased by the cleaning services of the city.
On Sunday morning a meeting of graffiti artists was convened at Tres Xemeneies Park in Barcelona in defense of rapper Pablo Hashim. Haséle, like the rapper Valtònyc, offered verses to the Spanish monarchy and former king Juan Carlos, and has received punishment in payment of them. He has announced that he will not go into exile, 'because the Valtònic case has normalized and no one is surprised by his exile', and he has stressed that he does not intend to do so.

The City Council of Bilbao has drawn "freedom of expression" on a wall of 20 meters high. The most striking has been that made by Roc Black Block, which is known by other murals he has made in the city: he has drawn King Juan Carlos. Direct has taken up the explanations that this muralist has given to the people nearby: he has managed to combine different works to be able to live doing whatever he wants, without having to break the law. "It makes it quite quiet, it goes slower than others and its trace is more skillful than most, because it is used to making murals for life," said journalist Júlia Bacardit at Direct.
The authors know that their work will last only hours: "It may be erased this afternoon. I've seen the graffiti artists who have come to draw, who haven't had time to pick up their stuff, because another one has come to paint on top. It's a dark art, we do it because we want it to multiply," spokesman Sigrid said to the Generalitat media.
On February 8, Valtònyc tweeted alleging that the town hall presided by Ada Colau has taken less than 24 hours to remove the most striking graffiti:

Journalist Bacardit de Direct points out the contradiction because the Barcelona City Hall allows this park to be a free space to paint: "The mayor of Barcelona is dedicated to throwing the stone and hiding his hand, as if the repression did not pass through his hands."
