Journalist Pablo González was extended for another three months by the hearing of the Polish region of Przemysl in November in provisional prison when nine months were detained. The defence lawyer appealed for the extension, but on Tuesday the Appellate Hearing of Rzeszów (Poland) announced that it had decided to keep the prison. Thus, González will be imprisoned until at least 23 February.
This is the third time that Gonzalez's provisional prison has been extended and his lawyer has recourse regularly, but is rejected in all three. On 28 February, he will remain in prison for one year. The Polish police arrested her on charges of Russian spy, but she has not yet been formally charged. Her relatives are clear that Gonzélez has been arrested for her dual Spanish and Russian nationality and for her journalistic activity.
At the end of December, the journalist's family and friends created a collection society for defense expenses, such as lawyers' fees, travel and terminocratic procedures, as well as the maintenance of González.
