Institutional and social representatives, the media, ARGIA collaborators and the work team meet each year in an event of maximum proximity. This year, however, it is clear that you cannot do that and that the 32nd edition will be different. Another change forced by the time of COVID-19.
This year the Argia Awards will be delivered in the first week of February. From Monday to Friday, a prize for this order will be announced every day: the 1st of February Audiovisual Prize, the 2nd Best Campaign Prize, the 3rd Radio Prize, the 4th Internet Prize and the 5th Press Prize.
The awards will be made available on the ARGIA website, every day at 10:00. To do this, we will publish a video prepared on each of the winners, along with the arguments of the winners: thanks video, photography and ARGIA. All information and media relating to these prizes shall be sent simultaneously to the media.
The prize consists of a selection of the ARGIA redactions, through which we want to reward the works that stand out in the world of journalism and communication in Basque. There is no money and the winners, along with the recognition and dissemination of ARGIA, are made with the trophy made by the sculptor Antton Mendizabal. Mendizabal works of art have been distributed since 1991.
Over the past three months, many citizens have sent their prize proposals to ARGIA. More and more journalistic work is being done in Basque, more and more solid work is being done, and for ARGIA it is becoming more and more difficult to choose jobs, people or projects. Thank you very much to all those who have sent your proposals, we have certainly taken them into account and all of them have been very useful.
All information about the prizes is available on the Argia Sariak channel and, if you wish, you can contact argiasariak@argia.eus or call the phone: 943371545 Olatz Korta.
