By area, in the region of Pamplona/Iruña 67% of the positives were registered, in Tudela 15% and in Estella 4%. The rest of the positives (14%) are located in other areas of Navarra. As regards the situation in Pamplona/Iruña, the counsellor has ruled out his confinement following the attack. "This is not the situation at present, but the evaluation is dynamic, continuous, depending on the evolution of the indicators," he added. He also ruled out that at this time another locality could be confined, outside Carcastillo and Cadreita, although he warned that "it can be done according to the evolution it has".
The Minister of Health stressed that "the second wave has entered very strongly everywhere, also in Navarre, because we have come out of a complicated situation". He has also warned that "the constant increase in cases requires its management to foresee the impact it may have on the hospital system in the coming days". In the hospital network of Navarra 272 people admitted with COVID-19 remain, 35 of them in ICU positions and 42 in home hospitalization. The rest, 195 patients, are on the floor. Santos Indurain has acknowledged that in hospitals, as in the entire healthcare system of Navarra, there is "tension" because "there are many cases that strain the network and are increasing".
Santos Indurain explained that there are currently 82 professionals dedicated to the search work, as well as about thirty professionals from the Ministry of Defense. In addition, 110 professionals from the Navarro Health Service work in shifts and in the coming days, 30 other professionals are expected to be included.
