The Director of Osakidetza, María Jesús Mujika, announced the decision on Thursday during an appearance in the Basque Government regarding the irregularities denounced in the opposition in the medical field. He points out that the Public Prosecutor ' s Office will be entrusted with the internal investigation of the study in the specialty of Anesthesiology, which does not include the fact that a leak has been made, although three tests will be repeated and three candidates who presented themselves to the opposition have denounced the irregularities. In contrast, the study notes that individuals who have filed a complaint have made an “attempt at fraud.”
Marta Macho, Manuel Martínez and Roberto Sánchez are the three individuals who have denounced opposition fraud. Both the Prosecutor’s Office and the Ombudsman’s Office were approached to verify that there had been leaks in the opposition, but the attempt was unsuccessful. If so, they decided to go to a number of members of the review jury to test whether they were being given questions and clarifications of the review. Osakidetza accuses them of “attempted fraud” for this behavior.
Mujika adds that the categories of Cardiology and Angiology have also been investigated and that there have been no leaks in them, although a juror of Cardiology has confirmed to the newspaper El Diario that irregularities have been reported. The tests will be repeated. Mujika emphasizes that the problems associated with corrections and the way in which questions are formulated are behind everything.
