They celebrate special screenings of the film 'Oreina' in October
- After winning the award for the best Basque film at the San Sebastian Film Festival and premiering it in theaters of Euskal Herria, Oreina, by Koldo Almandoz, has returned to the international festivals. In addition, several special performances have been scheduled this month in different halls in the Basque Country.
The first one, on 5 October, was held in the village of Aginaga, which occupies a prominent place in the film. In the former church of San Francisco de Assisi de Aginaga, Oreina was projected by the director himself with his own presentations.
On 15 October it will be screened at the film Leidor de Tolosa and, in addition to the presentation of Almandoz, a colloquium will be offered on the film.
Six days later, Sunday, 21 October, the film will be screened at the SOREASU theatre in Azpeitia, accompanied by the contributions of the director and actress Erika Olaizola.
Competition at the Toulouse festival
The journey of Oreina abroad has its next stop in Toloso (Occitania): 23. She will participate in the Cinespaña festival and is a candidate for the Violette d’Or Prize, with 6,000 euros. Koldo Almandoz himself and actor Laulad Ahmed will be in charge of presenting the film that will be screened at the festival.
The film premiered on October 5 in some thirty theaters in the French state, and in those places it can be seen until October 14, according to the producer Txintxua Films.
