The City Hall of Oñati will ask the Ertzaintza for explanations about the aggression suffered by five young people from the municipality
- In a note published this Friday morning, representatives of the City of Oñati will meet next week with the commanders of the Ertzaintza headquarters in Bergara.
On the night of June 15, five young people from Oñati reported being assaulted by agents of the Ertzaintza in uniform and streets. The City of Oñati has worked throughout the week to find information about this event, which is without documents.
In the communiqué, they pointed out that the explanations of what happened to young people have been received "with all due diligence and detail". However, they have pointed out that until now it has not been possible for them to know the version of the Ertzaintza, as only the incidents at a local bar are recorded in the minutes.
In order to clarify the facts, the municipal representatives will meet with the officers of the Bergara police station. After collecting the testimonies of both parties, the City of Oñati will decide whether it has to take further steps in this direction or not.
